The devil tossed a burning coal into a hollow pumpkin and ordered him to wander forever with only the pumpkin to light his path. From that day to this he has been called Jack o’ the Lantern.A chaque Halloween on me demande comment on dit pumpkin en français. Je ne m’y connais pas en botanique, alors je réponds citrouille ou potiron ou courge, selon que j’imagine un savoureux cake, une onctueuse soupe ou un délectable couscous !
